Thrash Talk Press was founded by Jake Lee in Lexington, Kentucky in 2015. Jake currently holds his B.F.A. in Studio Arts from the University of Kentucky with a concentration in printmaking and is currently attending graduate school at the University of Iowa, pursuing an M.F.A. His artworks have been exhibited both nationally and internationally, most notably at Wharepuck Art Gallery in Kerikeri, New Zealand, Inner Mongolia University in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China, the Awagami Paper Factory in Tokushima, Japan, El Minia University in El Minia, Egypt, Octane Gallery in Nashville, Tennessee, and Rio Grande Gallery in Austin, Texas. In 2016, Jake was awarded a First Place award in Speedball Art Products' New Impressions Printmaking competition. He has also been awarded the Leola Bergman Fellowship, Beall Fellowship, and the Rising Senior Scholarship. His works have been published in Limestone: Prose, Art, and Poetry literary journal, as well as, Shale: Undergraduate Literary Journal. Jake is also the former President for the University of Kentucky's printmaking organization, Back Alley Press and the current Vice President of the Iowa Print Group.
